The name of the game is crafting
Eat. Sleep. Craft. Bake. That's me. I'm especially addicted to yarn, and can't stop crocheting or knitting. I started at 16 with crocheting: My mom asked if I wanted to learn the shell pattern she was working on. I didn't want to learn at all...until she went for a (relaxing) bath and I picked up the afghan just to see what she had been doing. I had the needle in hand and couldn't resist trying to remember what I had seen her do, poking the needle into the row and pulling up a stitch. Hmm, that didn't seem quite right. BANG. BANG. BANG. I knocked on the bathroom door and whined: 'Mom, how do you do that stitch, I want to know now!' Mom couldn't explain it, she could just do it and asked for me to wait until she was done of her bath. 'No! Now or never!' (typical teenage response) Mom (now not so relaxed) told me to find her mom's how to crochet book. I found it, read it, learned it and had crocheted 5 or 6 rows on Mom's afghan by the time she finished her bath. I haven't stopped playing with yarn since! I'll stop here, but there's lots more to tell. I'll keep this posted with current projects and reminisce about past projects.
